Songs of Conquest is now part of the main Hidden Gaming Lair project
soc.th.gl has always been a Hidden Gaming Lair site, but it ran on its own separate codebase. I've now merged it into the main THGL project. For me that means I can update it much faster and it automatically benefits from improvements I make across the whole system; for you it means a cleaner, faster site with everything cross-linked — jump from a wielder to its skills, a building to the units it recruits, an artifact to the events that grant it.
Database
- 70 units (with tier upgrades), 64 wielders, 40 spells, 156 artifacts, 40 skills, 98 buildings, 472 random events, across all 8 factions
- In-game icons throughout — essence/mana, movement, costs, durations — so values read at a glance
- 13 languages
Town build planner — improved
- Now laid out like the in-game tech tree: each building's levels stacked, prerequisites wired up
- Pick a troop and it assembles the full build order with running resource cost (including the research steps a unit needs)
- Available troops are ordered by rank with their tier, and show each unit's mana affinity — including Roots' Symbiosis
- Sharper, larger unit art
Wielder skill planner — improved
- Skills now reach their correct maximum tier (e.g. An Eye for Amber goes to tier 3)
- Larger, clearer skill and requirement icons
- Your wielder level is tracked as you draft, and hovering a skill traces what it needs and what it unlocks
Your old links still work — every old soc.th.gl page redirects to its new home, so bookmarks and search results carry over.
